Diane Rug
My customer is someone who loves vintage rugs with a modern twist. I envision the Diane rug in a living room with lots of natural sunlight, plants, cozy knit throws, mismatched throw pillows, and Etsy wall art.
Design Process: For my Moodboard, I was initially inspired by the springtime hues of oranges and blue found in wildflowers and nature. Inspired by rugs from Rifle Paper Co and Ruggable and the way the scrolls moved your eyes around and the organic hourglass shape, I asked myself how I could incorporate this into my own design. I started with some hand drawn/ painted sketches and then used one of my paintings as the base for my design in Photoshop. In Photoshop, I developed the design further and created alternative colorways.
